2020 has been a rollercoaster of emotions after the COVID-19 pandemic spread across the world. It’s something that nobody was fully ready for, but our health care workers adapted quickly to everchanging safety protocols.

The pandemic changed the type of relationships our staff have with their patients. Because loved ones were no longer allowed to step foot in Southern New Hampshire Health, our health care heroes stepped up and became their patients’ support person as well.

During Healthcare Quality Week, Dana Oosterman, RN, BSN, LNC, Clinical Manager at Southern New Hampshire Health’s ICU, explains how the pandemic has changed her relationship with her patients.
