We hope you’ll join us in celebrating Earth Month by taking action! Today, April 22, is Earth Day and the City of Manchester is asking for your help!
The City of Manchester is participating in the 10th Annual Wyland National Mayor’s Challenge for Water Conservation, a fun and friendly competition between cities across the country that takes place every April. By taking the online pledge to reduce pollution, energy usage, and water waste, folks can win thousands of dollars in eco-friendly prizes, including a Grand Prize of $3,000 toward their Home Utility Bills, home irrigation kits, gift cards, and more. You can also help your favorite local non-profit win the Community Grand Prize of a brand new 2021 Toyota Highlander Hybrid.
To get started, residents of Manchester just need to go to www.mywaterpledge.com, type “Manchester, NH”, and take the pledge.
Cities with higher percentages of residents who take the water pledge rise in the rankings. Furthermore, New Hampshire is in drought conditions, and while Manchester may have a drought-resistant water source, it’s always important to be mindful about our water usage and reduce the pollutants we put out into the environment, as these affect public health.
Please take the pledge on behalf of our community!
