SolutionHealth is pleased to announce that the Surgery Center of Greater Nashua is now fully owned by Southern New Hampshire Health. This comes months after the center was re-accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).
By earning re-accreditation, the Surgery Center of Greater Nashua distinguishes itself from the many other outpatient facilities in New Hampshire through its adherence to rigorous standards of care and safety.
Status as an accredited organization means the Surgery Center of Greater Nashua has met nationally recognized standards for the provision of quality health care set by AAAHC. More than 6,100 ambulatory health care organizations across the United States are currently accredited by AAAHC.
1095 Strong is a transformational movement and call-to action spearheaded by the AAAHC to equip ambulatory leaders with the best of what they need to operationalize quality practices. The three-year, or 1,095-day, period between accreditations is a critical time when ambulatory health organizations, with help from proven experts, can develop the kind of everyday habits that enable leaders in the industry to provide the utmost in quality care to their patients. Organizations such as the Surgery Center of Greater Nashua that earn AAAHC accreditation embody the spirit of 1095 Strong—an ongoing commitment to high-quality care and patient safety.
To be reaccredited, an onsite survey must occur every three years. While the survey is an important component of the process, ongoing compliance and continuous improvement are part of the accreditation maintenance mindset that a facility should integrate into its daily activities long after the survey has been completed. The intent of accreditation is for organizations to adopt policies and procedures that fuel ongoing quality improvement and self-evaluation, every day.
“Accreditation of the Surgery Center of Greater Nashua demonstrates our team’s ongoing commitment to the highest quality of ambulatory surgical care. This was a rigorous survey that delved into all aspects of the quality of services we provide, and the results of the survey demonstrate the hard work the team has put into ensuring our success,” says Beverly Primeau MBA-RN CNOR, CRNFA, CASC, System Vice President of Surgical and Procedural Services for SolutionHealth. “SolutionHealth is committed to ensuring we are always providing high quality health care to the communities we serve. This accreditation demonstrates how we are fulfilling this goal for our ambulatory surgery center.”
