As part of our weekend-long focus on cancer in honor of World Cancer Day, SolutionHealth has a released a new podcast!

According to the American Cancer Society, breast cancer is the most common cancer in American women, except for skin cancers.

Currently, the average risk of a woman in the United States developing breast cancer sometime in her life is about 12%. This means there is a one in eight chance a woman will develop breast cancer.

To help maximize breast health and minimize the chance of developing breast cancer, screenings are very important. Mammography is the gold standard for screening. With early detection, many women who do develop breast cancer move on with their lives and thrive after a diagnosis.

In our new podcast, Marina Feldman, MD, MBA, a radiologist and Medical Director of Breast Imaging at The Elliot and Co-Director at the Elliot Breast Health Center, talks about the importance of screenings.
