Amanda McCann, Clinical Manager at SNHMC Rehab runs through Nashua on Marathon Monday – 26.2 MILES!
She was volunteering inside the medical tents in 2013 when the bombs went off at the Boston Marathon.
Since then, Amanda McCann, a Clinical Manager at Southern New Hampshire Rehab has been running in marathons. Today, April 20, she was supposed to run the Boston Marathon, but the COVID-19 pandemic forced Massachusetts to postpone the race.
McCann decided to honor her plan to run the marathon for those who donated. So, she ran 26.2 miles in Nashua today, running through downtown and by SNHMC. Her team at the Rehab Center tracked her progress and were there to cheer her on as she passed mile 18!
She raised almost $10,000 for Camp Shriver, a camp for 8 to 12-year-old children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. McCann has also been active with the Special Olympics and the Gate City Striders.
A big thank you and congratulations to Amanda McCann!
