Telemedicine appointments have grown in popularity during the global COVID-19 pandemic. Patients at both Elliot Health System and Southern New Hampshire Health (who make up SolutionHealth) say they have had success with these visits.
Dominic, a patient of the Elliot, recently had his first telemedicine appointment and says it was a success. “It works great if you’re not feeling good and don’t want to take a trip to the doctor’s office,” he says.
He had a video appointment with Dr. Andrew Rosen of Elliot Health System. Dominic says it was easy to get onto Doxy, the secure platform where the appointments are held.
“Everything I had called about was addressed. He wrote me a couple of prescriptions, scheduled another appointment in a couple of months, and ordered blood work,” Dominic explains.
He says these telemedicine visits are good because they protect you from COVID-19 and allow you to stay home but still get the care you need.
“It’s pretty simple, I’d give it a try first. If it doesn’t work out, I’m sure your medical provider would call you,” Dominic says.
He also says there were no privacy concerns with using Doxy. The platform does not save any personal information.
“Dr. Rosen is excellent, we successfully completed an entire appointment,” Dominic explains.
