Live United Over the Edge a Success!

Last Thursday and Friday, 12 Southern employees rappelled from the top of the 300-foot-tall Brady Sullivan Plaza Tower in Manchester for the United Way’s ‘Live United Over the Edge’ event.

This third annual event brought together over 120 brave individuals who went ‘over the edge’ to raise funds for 25 local nonprofit organizations. As of the end of the day Friday, donations totaled almost $200,000!

Southern’s rappelling team, which was the largest participating in the event, raised funds to support the SNHH Behavioral Health Unit. Participating employees included Amanda Dyment, Laura Hulen, Andrew Johnson, Joe Leahy, Sarah McGhee, Paul Miller, Dan Riviere, Erik Dellea, Beth Trapani, Darlene Sullivan and Kerrie Caron, as well as Tim Scherer who repelled on Thursday evening.

Thank you to our twelve volunteers for rappelling and to the family, friends and fellow Southern employees who supported them by donating to the team fundraiser and cheering from the ground below!
