Now is the time to get the so-called “COVID 15” under control! After months of staying home to stay safe, it’s time to get back in shape. The Welliot at River’s Edge Fitness Center is back open to employees, after being temporarily closed.
The facility will now be opened during specific hours with several safety modifications in place for employees.
NEW HOURS at River’s Edge: | |
Monday & Wednesday | 5 am – 6:30 pm |
Tuesday & Thursday | 8 am – 6:30 pm |
Friday | 5 am – 12:30 pm |
The center will reopen to the community on Monday, June 22.
Prior to each visit, clients are being asked to review these questions:
- Do you have any symptoms of COVID-19 or fever of 100.4 degrees or higher?
- Have you had close contact with someone who is suspected or confirmed to have COVID-19 in the past 14 days?
- Have you traveled in the past 14 days either internationally, by cruise ship, or domestically?
If any of the above apply, you are asked to refrain from going to the gym and putting others at risk.
General Rules:
Capacity will be limited to 50%. There will be a one-way flow in the fitness center with signage to guide you.
You will be required to maintain 6 feet or more of physical distance throughout your workouts. No “spotting” is allowed.
You will be required to sign in and out to help fitness staff monitor how many people are in the facility at one time.
Masks must always be worn unless actively engaged in a workout that would otherwise make it difficult to breathe.
Members must wipe down equipment after each use with provided disinfectant. Staff will perform routine “heavy cleaning” throughout the day.
Mats will not be provided. You will need to bring your own.
Hydration:
Gymgoers are asked to bring in their own water bottle. There will be a refill station, but clients are asked to use the hand sanitization station before refilling water bottles.
Bathrooms and locker rooms:
The restrooms, locker rooms, and showers will be open. Masks are always to be worn unless in the shower.
Hairdryers are not permitted
When possible, the fitness center asks that you “wear-in” and “wear-out” to ensure the safest environment.
Personal Training and Group Exercise:
The fitness center will continue to offer personal training, but will not be offering fitness testing. Group exercise classes will be limited to 7 participants and social distancing requirements will be in place.
