It is with great pleasure that I announce that Michael DeLeo, MD will be assuming the role of Chief Medical Officer of Foundation Medical Partners. This announcement comes after extensive work from a collaborative team comprised of providers and administrators who came together to review an impressive group of internal candidates.
Mike joined the Foundation in 2016, being one of the founding members of our radiology group. He has worked tirelessly managing a notable change process in the Medical Center with the introduction of the new radiology group while also improving the quality of the program, as well as within the team, and ultimately building out a very capable and expansive multispecialty radiology group. He has been involved in Foundation leadership in multiple roles, serving on the Board of Governors since 2016. A radiologist, fellowship-trained in breast and oncologic imaging, he has been active in developing and enhancing our capabilities in breast radiology but also across a far broader front. He has an intense interest and appreciation for all aspects of medical care delivery and has sought to make radiology visible, accessible, and accountable for the role they perform in the system.
Mike will bring a new perspective to the role of the Chief Medical Officer, and I am confident that he will successfully help the Foundation to navigate the future of healthcare for our patients. Mike will also work closely with Tim Scherer, Chief Medical Officer of SNHHS, to ensure high quality, coordinated and efficient care across the entire continuum of care, as well as continue to develop clinical integration opportunities within SolutionHealth.
Over the next month, Mike will transition to his new CMO role but will continue to provide needed radiology services on a part-time basis. Please join me in congratulating him on his promotion and in wishing him continued success within Southern New Hampshire Health.
