October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign to raise awareness about the disease! 2020 has been a powerful reminder that we are all in this together, and with your support, we can inspire hope and bring awareness about breast cancer.
According to the American Cancer Society, breast cancer is the most common cancer in American women, except for skin cancers. Currently, the average risk of a woman in the United States developing breast cancer sometime in her life is about 13%. This means there is a 1 in 8 chance a woman will develop breast cancer.
There are steps women can take to maximize their breast health and minimize their chance of developing breast cancer.
