In the past month, elective surgeries have ramped up across SolutionHealth at both Elliot Health System and Southern New Hampshire Health.
In the month of June, Elliot Hospital and SNHH performed at about 60 to 80% of pre-COVID-19 surgical volume. On both campuses, the number of cases performed has been based on demand and staffing. One very bright spot is Elliot One Day Surgery Center. It saw over 100% of its volume prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I think the staff are doing great,” Beverly Primeau, MBA-RN, SolutionHealth’s Vice President of Surgical and Procedural Services, says. “They have adapted well to what we’ve implemented to protect patients, visitors, and staff. They are eager to get our surgical volume back to normal levels.”
