The NH Governor’s Council on Physical Activity and Health, on behalf of Governor Christopher Sununu, recognized Dr. Budnitz’s long-standing commitment to the health of Nashua residents by presenting him with an Outstanding Achievement Award.
This annual award is given to organizations, groups and individuals who have accomplished outstanding achievements in promoting healthy lifestyles. Since 1979, Albee has been an advocate for healthy lifestyles and nicotine addiction prevention as well as an active proponent of tobacco control and education. His dedication to the health of New Hampshire residents is evident in his role as a Primary Care physician, volunteer-role as chair of the Tobacco Free NH Network, involvement in the creation of the Nashua Prevention Coalition, and his overall engagement with the community.
Dr. Budnitz was nominated for this award by his colleagues and community partners. Above he accepts the award in the Executive Chambers of the State House in Concord. He was presented the award by a member of the Governor’s Council on Physical Activity and Health.
