Southern New Hampshire Health’s Interim President Colin McHugh, who also serves as Senior Vice President for Value Innovation and Population Health and Executive Director of the Accountable Care Organization for SolutionHealth, and Dr. Timothy Scherer, Vice President of Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, recently toured the space that will soon house gastroenterology services in Nashua. The tour was led by Scott Cote, Vice President of Facilities Planning and Operations for SolutionHealth, whose team oversees construction projects across SolutionHealth. This new space, where patients will come for endoscopies, colonoscopies, and other diagnostic tests related to digestive health, was well underway before the COVID-19 pandemic halted all non-essential projects. In the coming weeks, work on the new space will resume. Southern New Hampshire Health hopes to welcome staff, providers, and patients to the new space in phases. Phase 1 includes the prep and recovery area, which is slated to open by September of this year. The remaining phases of the project, which include a new waiting space, provider office space, and new procedure rooms, are scheduled to be completed by March of 2021.
