The first Friday of each February is National Wear Red Day and the entire month of February is American Heart Month. It’s a time where the country comes together to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease and help save lives.
Despite the devastating impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, cardiovascular disease remains the leading killer of women in the U.S., according to the American Heart Association. The organization says that 1 in 3 women are dying from it.
This Friday, February 5, we encourage you to wear red for the American Heart Association’s signature movement Go Red for Women.
If you wear red this Friday, snap a photo and send it to Elyssa.Ellis@SolutionHealth.org so we can share.
